Exchange-Only Policy
The Humiovi offers exchanges and store credit only. We do not offer cash refunds.
Each piece of jewelry in our collection is a unique work of Native American artisan craftsmanship. Because of the one-of-a-kind nature of these pieces, we have adopted an exchange-only policy. We believe this approach honors the value and individuality of each handcrafted item while ensuring you find a piece that is perfect for you.
Exchange Window
You may initiate an exchange within 14 days of delivery. The delivery date is determined by the tracking confirmation provided at the time of shipment. Requests received after the 14-day window may not be eligible for exchange.
Condition Requirements
To be eligible for an exchange, items must meet the following conditions:
- The piece must be in its original, unworn condition -- free from scratches, tarnish, or signs of wear.
- All original packaging, including the branded gift box and protective wrapping, must be included.
- The Certificate of Authenticity must be returned with the piece.
- Any accompanying documentation or care instructions must be included.
How to Initiate an Exchange
- Contact us -- Reach out via our contact page or email us to request an exchange. Include your order number and the reason for the exchange.
- Receive a Return Authorization -- Our team will review your request and provide a Return Authorization (RA) number along with return shipping instructions.
- Ship the item back -- Package the piece securely in its original packaging and ship it to the address provided. We recommend using a tracked and insured shipping method.
- Select your replacement or receive store credit -- Once we receive and inspect your return, you may select a replacement piece from our current collection or receive store credit for the full value of the original purchase.
Store Credit
If you choose store credit instead of an immediate exchange:
- Store credit is issued for the full purchase value of the returned item.
- Store credit never expires and can be applied to any future purchase at The Humiovi.
- Store credit may be used online or at our Sedona gallery.
- Store credit is non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
Exceptions
The following items may not be eligible for exchange:
- Custom or personalized items -- Pieces that have been custom-ordered, resized, or personalized to your specifications are final sale and cannot be exchanged.
- Sale or clearance items -- Items purchased at a reduced price may have different exchange terms, which will be noted at the time of purchase.
Damaged or Defective Items
If your item arrives damaged or defective, please contact us immediately -- ideally within 48 hours of delivery. We handle damaged items with a more flexible resolution process:
- Please provide photographs of the damage along with your order number.
- We will arrange for a prepaid return label at no cost to you.
- You may select an identical replacement (if available), an alternative piece, or store credit for the full purchase value.
- If the damage occurred during transit, we will file an insurance claim on your behalf.
Return Shipping
For standard exchanges (non-damaged items), the customer is responsible for return shipping costs. We strongly recommend using a tracked and insured shipping method, as The Humiovi is not responsible for items lost or damaged during return transit.
